Privacy Policy

FeltBook is a private scorekeeper for friendly home poker games. It helps a group track buy-ins, cash-outs and the resulting "who pays whom" — nothing more. FeltBook never handles, processes, or moves money. Any money changes hands directly between people, outside the app. This policy explains what limited data the app stores and how it is used.

What we collect

• Account details — your email address or phone number, a password (stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text), and a display name.
• Optional payment handle — if you choose to add one (e.g. a Cash App, Zelle, or UPI id). It is shown to people who owe you so they can pay you outside the app. It is optional and you can remove it.
• Game records — the clubs you belong to, and the buy-ins, cash-outs and settlements for games you take part in.
• Your results history — your own win/loss entries, including any outside games you add manually.
• Guest names — if you add a guest player to a game, the name you type for them.

What we do NOT collect or do

• We do not process payments or handle money of any kind.
• No location data, no access to your contacts, no advertising.
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

How your information is used

• To run the scorekeeper: record buy-ins and cash-outs and compute the minimal set of settlement transfers.
• To show you your own results and history.
• To let the people in your clubs see who is in a game and the shared ledger for that game.

What is visible to others

Your display name — and your payment handle if you set one — is visible to other members of the clubs you join, inside the app, so games can be settled. Nothing you enter is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers.

Where your data is stored

Data is stored on our hosting provider's servers and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are hashed with scrypt.

Third parties

We use a cloud hosting provider to run the app's server and database. The app may load display fonts from Google Fonts, which involves sending your device's IP address to Google solely to deliver those fonts. We do not use advertising or analytics services.

Data retention & deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete account). Deletion removes your personal information (name, email/phone, payment handle) and your personal results history. Shared game records are kept for the integrity of other players' settlements, but your name is anonymized to "Deleted user".

Children

FeltBook is intended for people aged 17 and older and is not directed at children.

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
